Enroll a New Scout

Step 1: Submit an Application

1. Visit BeAScout.org
   
   

2. Enter ZIP code 92118
   
   

3. Filter results by Scouts BSA and Troop for Boys
   
   

4. Click “Apply Now” under Troop 801 Optimist Club of Coronado
   
   

5. Create a parent account at my.scouting.org, then complete the application and payment for your scout
   
   

Step 2: Approval Process

Your application will be reviewed by our Scoutmaster or Committee Chair.

Step 3: Welcome Email

After acceptance, you’ll receive a welcome email that includes:

• The current BSA Health Form (Parts A & B) to complete before any overnight campouts. Part C is required for all activities with a duration over 72 hours.

• Instructions to return the completed form to our Health Form Coordinator

• A request to add your email(s) to our Troop 801 email list and an invitation to include your scout’s email if desired.
